A Blogger’s Lack Of Judgment…..

RESULTS IN LOST LINK FROM WILDOMAR MAGAZINE

While there are no rules in the blogosphere, there must be basic standards of human dignity, which should provide self-limiting standards of publication.

As a result of the recent publication of the  above graphic/poster on the Wildomar rap blog site, I have deleted all previous references and links  to the site for its publisher’s  failure to understand that  violence against women  cannot be tolerated,  even as a basis for humor, in our society, and especially will not be facilitated from the pages of  Wildomar Magazine.

I regret  having facilitated any previous  exposure  to the website by any of my readers  who may have been offended by  such vile content.

After an internal debate over the value of  republishing the graphic, I concluded that disclosure would have the most profound curative effect.

Planning the End of Wildomar’s…

November 19, 2013

…RURAL LIFESTYLE

The citizens of Wildomar will not need the politically-nuanced commentary of Zak Turango to understand that the arrogant forces of change who are  sitting on the Wildomar City Council, led by their  City Staff, and  perpetuated by their sycophantic  appointees/accomplices  of the Planning Commission are intent upon  changing and altering  Wildomar’s  environmental  landscape.

They can read it  for themselves!

The following is taken directly from the Planning Commission agenda for next Wednesday night’s  Special Planning Commission.

PC RESOLUTION NO. 13-24

A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF WILDOMAR, CALIFORNIA RECOMMENDING CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL OF GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO. 13-02 TO: 1) ADOPT THE 2013–2021 HOUSING ELEMENT UPDATE; 2) CHANGE THE EXISTING LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM MEDIUM HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (MHDR) TO HIGHEST DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (HHDR) FOR THREE (3) PARCELS (APN’S: 380-220-002; 370-400-009; & 380-270-013); 3) CHANGE THE EXISTING LAND USE DESIGNATION FROM BUSINESS PARK (BP) TO HIGHEST DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (HHDR) FOR ONE (1) PARCEL (APN: 380-250-003 –

Supposedly driven by a State of California mandate regarding future development, City Staff has exploited the mandate in such a way that will create a corridor of apartment complexes on commercial and business park-zoned properties on Clinton Keith Road, rather than more reasonably directing the high density project into under-developed areas, such as Sedco,  that would benefit the entire city.

Instead, City Staff is intentionally  converting  commercial and  business park-zoned properties that will create an economic inbalance  in the future.

If you object to this type of conversion, tomorrow evening would be a good time to attend your first Planning Commission meeting  and voice your objections.

On the other hand, if you don’t  have any objections,  behold your future.

For the record,  other cities have successfully resisted the implementation of  a State of California mandate, but that would take political courage.

Helping Veterans…

November 16, 2013

…LOCALLY

Since many of those who are troubled with  dependency on alcohol or drugs are also dealing with  the residual, lifelong impact of military service on behalf of our country, my friends at the KLEAN Radio (http://www.kleanradio.com/) have expanded their  program to provide  recovery services dedicated to the particular  needs  of military veterans.

If you have the desire and interest to provide assistance and some economic  support  for a local and worthy effort, please click on the following link :

If you would like to meet with Judah Friedman  in order to discuss your support for the  Bed For  A Vet program, please contact me  at zakturango@excite.com  and I can facilitate that meeting.

Watching Martha Watch….

November 13, 2013

…WILDOMAR

Despite the dearth and decline of local newspaper coverage, with the demise of the Californian and Southwest Riverside News Network (“SWRNN”), and the intentional diminution of Wildomar Magazine, it is pleasing to see that yet another informational medium is bursting forth on the Wildomar political scene.

Martha Bridges has debuted an informational blog,  where the readers will be able to keep up-to-date on the perspective of the “community activist” cohort of the “opposition community” that eventually arises in every healthy and democratic political environment.

Unlike most feckless community activists, however, Martha rarely hesitates to elevate her activism to the level of effective litigation, resorting to the Courts, when necessary, to chasten, chastise, and ultimately correct, the misjudgments, misdeeds and rank mistakes of the Electeds, Appointees and Hirees of the City of Wildomar.

Please click on the following link to Martha’s initial blogs:

http://thewildomarwatcher.wordpress.com/

For those of you in the City of Wildomar who have been foolish enough  to dismiss  Martha Bridges  as a “paper tiger,”  you continue to do so at your own peril.  Her attention to detail in whatever endeavor she embraces is formidable.

I personally,  as a wise man, prefer Martha as a friend, rather than being her adversary.

Obsessing Over My Veteran’s Administration….

Hi Gil,

I’m still waiting for your response to my last e-mail to you.

What are you waiting for, Gil, are you ashamed to admit that

you are a phony. And yes, I am typing in big bold red letters

because I am yelling at you.

Gerry

Simple disclosure is generally the best antidote to this stuff.

‘Nuff said.

Despite the above, a heartfelt thanks for your service to all veterans.  Especially those with whom I served in Vietnam.
 “Welcome home, brothers.”

“The Mute” Falls….

November 7, 2013

…SILENT

How ironic that Mike Kazmier “announced” his resignation from the Wildomar Planning Commission by letter, rather than breaking his perpetual silence in person.

Informally referred to as “The Mute,” Kazmier would often go through an entire Planning Commission meeting without uttering a word, even to the point of recently being observed nodding his head in an up and down motion to signify his approval of the motion to deny a recommendation to Wildomar City Council supporting the recent proposed General Plan Amendment, which would allow the construction of 322 condominium units on some of Wildomar’s  prime commercial land.

I don’t think a vote by nodding your head is even legal. Voting is called a “voice vote” for a reason

Please click on the following link to  the Lake Elsinore/Wildomar Patch for the details:

Kazmier replaced an  equally reticent Planning Commissioner Miguel Casillas,  informally known as the “Quiet Commissioner,” whose similar resignation was reported in the pages of Wildomar Magazine on October 23, 2009. ( See October 2009 Archives,  “Quiet Commissioner Casillas Resigns)

Or, for a simpler, quieter alternative, please click on the following link :

What each of these appointments have in common is that they were both appointed by Wildomar City councilmember Marsha Swanson, and each  appointee was also an employee of her real estate office.

Perhaps her next appointment will move beyond the cubicle office walls of her own real estate office , where it is suspected that the functioning business model and mantra is  ” Silence is Golden.”

A Wildomar Citizen Reaches Out To….

November 5, 2013

…THE CITY OF WILDOMAR

A longtime resident of Wildomar, Ken Mayes, is following up on last Sunday afternoon’s citizen meeting facilitated by himself and another concerned local resident, Scott Bradstreet, by publishing an “open letter” to the Wildomar City Council, proposing the formation of a “Parks,  Recreation and Trails Commission,” with  specific guidelines for the commission,  if formed.

Mayes is asking that interested members of the Wildomar citizenry join him in  his proposal, by forwarding a copy of the proposal to each of the members of the Wildomar City Council and the City Manager.
