….. JUST LIKE MAYOR SWANSON AND COUNCILMEMBER WALKER
It appears that there is a chronic problem with “foot in mouth disease” running rampant at Wildomar City Hall.
Wildomar City mayor pro tem, Ben Benoit, is once again attending someone else’s press conference (at least, this time, there is no quorum).
Please click on the following link to the Lake Elsinore-Wildomar Patch to confirm his legal, and official, ignorance:
The City of Wildomar is a named respondent to a lawsuit, which was filed by the Alliance for Intelligent Planning as a direct result of Benoit, Walker, and Swanson’s failure to apply the appropriate conditions upon the Subway project on Bundy Canyon Road in Wildomar.
As an elected official, Benoit, et al., should learn to restrain himself from discussing this City matter in public, especially in the media.
In Benoit’s case, his tenure as a Wildomar Planning Commissioner began with his appointment to the Planning Commission and, on the very same day, announcing his candidacy for City Council. In the ensuing five months until his unfortunate election, he attended no more than three meetings as a Planning Commissioner, so his “learned” opinion is of no value to anyone.
Further, his opinion as to the impacts a large entity, such as Wal-Mart, on small business, must be examined in the light of Benoit’s own success as a small business.
Once again, according to the Secretary of State of California, the status of his corporation is “suspended.”

To be fair, if it weren’t for businesses like Wal-Mart and Best Buy, Benoit’s computer business would be thriving and he would probably have 30 or 40 employees working out of his bedroom.
That’s a creepy thought.
